I’m interested in learning about the format of the Project Management Professional (PMP) test. If I decide to take it, I also want to get some practice questions to prepare.

Well, the PMP exam contains 200 total multiple choice questions, with 25 pretest questions which are randomly placed. The pretest questions don’t count towards your pass/fail score. The time limit is 4 hours to complete the exam, and you need to score a 61% or higher: 106 of 175 scored questions, excluding the 25 pretest questions. Prometric is one of the more popular exam centers which offers the exam.

There are a ton of sites which offer pmp practice exams, and they vary in quality. Do a web search and take your pick, but go with one which charts your knowledge as you complete each practice test- that way you’ll know what to focus on when you study.
