Hi,

I am interested in doing PMP certification.

Can somebody suggest best book for PMP Exam preparation ?

Regards,
Arun.

Arun,

There are a number of excellent books for the PMP Exam on the market. But don’t forget the the PRIMARY book that you have to read is the PMBOK Guide (http://www.pm-prepcast.com/pmbok.html).

Then I always recommend the following 2 books for this:

1.) PMP Exam Success by Outercore (http://www.pm-prepcast.com/outercore.html). This book also comes with a CD that contains around 1,000 questions.

2.) PMP Exam Prep Fifth Edition by Rita Mulcahy (http://www.pm-prepcast.com/mulcahy.html) this is of course the "granddaddy" of all PMP prep books and many have used it.

I would also recommend that you stop by at PM Opinions (www.pmopinions.com). Here you will find about 600 project management products with ratings & reviews. Quite a large section of these recommendations is for PMP preparation books and tools.

Lastly, I would also recommend my own product: The PM PrepCast (http://www.pm-prepcast.com). This is a complete 35 contact hour PMP course that is currently sold at just $49.99. We have had over 3,500 students so far. You can find reviews of this product at PM Opinions as well.

Until Next Time,
